HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

Hello everyone and welcome to 2021.

I am sure that we are all hoping that this year is going to turn out a whole lot better than last year even though we start it with lockdowns. Sue and I are keeping positive. We have a holiday booked for September and we are sure that we will be able to go on it provided we get our jabs. On that note, please do not be fooled with the airline adverts for “Jab and Go”. Any jab (that’s ANY JAB) is not effective for a number of days, usually around ten days. So don’t think that you can have a jab and immedately be immune – you are not!

I don’t know what you have all been doing (hopefully practicing your karate) but I hope that you have been keeping well. I have adopted a weekly training regime using movement, weights and kata. Admittedly it’s not as good as training in the dojo but it’s better than nothing.

What else have I been doing? Well, I wrote a book! it is 1255 pages long and has 385861 words in it, and yes, it has a good deal of martial arts in it. I have sent it off to an agent and have my fingers crossed. What’s it about? Ah, well, you’ll have to wait and see! However, I can tell you that it is full of skullduggery, treachery, heroism and is action-packed.

Anyway…keep safe and Sue and I look forward to seeing all the members of the Buntingford Karate Club later in the year (not too late we hope!).

Sensei Bill.
