A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL

Hi there everyone! Sue and I Just thought that we would wish you all a Merry Christmas whether you are a member of the Buntingford Karate Club or just someone who likes to read my occasional blog.

So far it has been a strange year and for some of us it has been a tragic year if you have lost a loved one. If you have indeed lost a loved one then Sue and I send you our commiserations. We have been through loss ourselves in that we have lost both sets of parents and Sue lost a dear sister on Christmas Eve two years ago.

Our karate club has had to close over the last few weeks due to the covid restrictions but, trust me, we will be opening as soon as it is both safe and when we are allowed to do so. I hope that the Buntingford Karate Club members are keeping some form of training going – remember, you do not need a sports hall to train in, in order to practice. My advice is to go through the moves of any and all of the kata that you know and to do a regular exercise workout. On this last point you do not need fancy equipment but I would suggest that you wear either your gi or a tracksuit and T shirt to get into the right frame of mind. Personally I put on tracksuit bottoms and a T shirt and I have two sets of dumb-bells that I do a 40 minute routine with on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.

No dumb-bells? then try sit-ups, push-ups, leg stretches…you know the kind of things we do as a club warm-up. GO FOR IT!!

Anyway. That’s enough from me for now, and it just remains for Sue and I to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
