Black Belt (at last!) for Rick.

Hi All. A big CONGRATULATIONS to Rick for getting his Black Belt. Here at the Buntingford Karate Club there is a minimum of 12 months training for Black Belt after you receive your 1st Kyu grade (Brown with 2 white stripes). Rick should have received his Black Belt this time last year but he’s had problems with his health and his employers in that time. He has also become a dad again and so he was not able to come along and train as often as he could, but when he did it was always with total commitment (which sums up Rick as a person). Rick is also the brains behind the administration of this website and he supplied us with a gazebo at the Buntingford Carnival – so he has a lot of useful input into the Club.

It therefore took him 2 years to get to the grade and I was very pleased to be able to award it before Christmas. Well Done Rick – richly deserved.

His grading also coincided with our last training day before Christmas so we had our traditional daft photo.
